LEGENDS IN CONCERT
May 16th, 2008
Legends In Concert showcases some of the most
famous superstars of the past and present – what more
does one need to be entertained for 2 whole hours! I
happened to catch the first line-up of the season on the last
night of their performance in Branson!! And I must say
the entire cast gave it all they had – what fantastic
performers!!
George Trullinger as singer songwriter and pioneer
rock and roller, Buddy Holly, got everyone REVVED UP –
wielding his guitar from one end of the stage to the other,
singing Buddy’s 1950’s rockabilly signature hit
songs, and providing the initial comedy in the show.
As George took the stage, he had the whole theater
rocking to “Oh, Boy!” Just as we were all
clapping along, he shouted, “Let’s rock and roll!!”
and launched into the well-known “Peggy Sue.”
He then joked about looking like a “geek” with
his greasy, slicked-back hair, big horned-rim glasses and
white socks, and had us all laughing before delivering a medley
of “It’s So Easy,” “Maybe Baby,”
and “That’ll Be The Day,” during which he
had us all singing along.

Legends in Concert - Got The Blues?
February 6, 2006
Friday Feb 3,2006 was opening night for one
of my favorite shows ever. The Legends theater looks the same
on the outside but they have a new computer system for tickets
and rather than have the usher tear your ticket they now scan
the bar code. You still have the option of having your picture
taken with 2 of the Legends performers and the show is still
high class all the way.

Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater
All the acts were Classic. Little Richard was
outstanding along with Alan Jackson, The Blues Brothers, Michael
Jackson and Brittany Spears. The Headliner (was) Dean Z as
Elvis.
There are not enough words to describe how well
they all did their own rendition of the person they were portraying.
It was truly what my 6 sisters and I would call THE GREATEST
SHOW ON EARTH. And yes, we are all coming back- Some of us
in October to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary.
What better way to celebrate something as special
as 44 years of marriage than do it with the music we grew
up with and fell in love listening to. The show brought back
a lot of memories, and we will continue to keep coming back
as long as the Legends in Concert show is there and the performers
stay as dedicated as they are now.

My Boy Elvis Mr. Dean Z.
"Hey everybody, c'mon down. There's a man
with a guitar who just hit town. He's off like a rocket, there
he goes, dancing from his head down to his toes" This
song is titled "My Boy Elvis" and it was performed
by Janis Martin. For obvious reasons, it was written about
the King of rock-n-roll, Elvis Presley however, it happens
to describe an amazing, young performer, who does a tribute
to Elvis- Dean Z. To me, Dean is the best male vocalist in
Branson. He bears a striking resemblance to a young Elvis,
and when he sings, he definitely sounds like the real deal.
If a person was to close their eyes while Dean is singing
(of course, the ladies may not want to because he‚s
definitely a looker), I'm sure that they could just SEE Elvis
standing right in front of them.
This boy has an amazing stage presence and I
think that girls often get so caught up in his gorgeous looks
and silky, Elvis-like voice that they forget he's NOT really
Elvis. I know I do. From easy-going, romantic songs such as
"Love Me Tender" to upbeat ones such as "Baby,
Let's Play House" (a personal favorite of mine) to Jailhouse
Rock, Dean will have you wanting to get up and dance in the
aisles! He also does a fabulous rendition of "One Night
with You" that usually have ladies leaving nails marks
on their husband‚s or friend‚s arm, or even on
the arm rest. Yes, he‚s THAT good! Dean also has all
of the King‚s dance moves down to a "t". He
dances, fidgets, and just plain moves like Elvis did. It's
amazing and almost scary how much Dean resembles Elvis. Mr.
Z. recreates the sounds of Elvis and brings back memories
(and makes new ones, as well) for those who were blessed to
be around in that time frame however, he‚s able to help
in making memories for "youngsters" such as myself
and giving us an idea of what it like back then‚
Once the show is over, the performers in the
last half (don't worry, the entertainers from the first half
come out during intermission) will come out after the show
to take pictures with the fans, sign whatever folks would
like them to, and talk to those who wish to have a few moments
of the stars‚ time. Dean is a very personable young
man who will stay until the last fan leaves. He does his absolute
best to make sure everyone leaves happy and with a great memory.
Want to come and check out this stunning young
man for yourself? You can see him perform Thursday-Tuesdays
(no shows Wednesdays). The Legends in Concert shows begin
at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. through December. You can call
the box office for reservations at 1-417-332-1960 and one
of the wonderful receptionists will be glad to assist you
in any way they can. Once you're at the theatre and ready
to head in to see the show, be sure to stop by the concession
stand to satisfy your hunger or quench your thirst. Once you're
set, scoot on in to watch the show and a friendly usher will
be there to greet you and assist you in finding your seat.
When you‚re settled in, just sit back and let the performers
take you back to a better time and place. Once you get to
Dean, he takes you on one musical journey you WON'T want to
return from.

I am Voting for Dean Z for the Best Male Performer.
I love going to see Legends in Concert, that
means I get to see Dean Z's tribute to Elvis. The show
I saw this past time was his tribute to the film Elvis.
I have to say it was a sunny good time for all. It showed
the best of the Elvis films and even showed actual clips of
those movies. For myself it was such a great treat to
actually have Elvis right there bigger than life and Dean
doing a great tribute too. This set was so much fun
for the dancers and for the audience. They would grab
people and bring them up to the stage area to hula dance while
Dean sang. The Slicin Sand was so much fun to watch,
you new they had to have a good time doing that. Viva
Las Vegas, need I say more. Roll the dice go see Dean
Z, as Elvis and you will win big.

I have seen this show many times. It gets
better each and every time I see it. The group that
does the Temptations is so great the precision is unbelievable.
The Blues Brothers, never disappoint. I do not know
how Justin can keep up the amount of movement and performance
thru the whole performance. Bucky is a great straight
man with a powerful voice and the ability to use it.
The whole band and dancers are just spot on, they are so much
fun to watch and see the interaction between them and the
headlining performers. Stacy as Marilyn Monroe and Gretchen
Wilson is a site to see. This lady is a powerful performer
no matter which character she is portraying. And last
but by no means least is Dean Z as the young Elvis; this man
gives a great performance of Elvis. He stays in character
no matter what the audience is yelling at him. He is
an amazing talent with a beautiful tribute to the one and
only king-Elvis Presley. It amazes me that all of these
talented performer’s chose to work in Branson, a small
Missouri town. I always recommend this show to each
and everyone I know that is visiting Branson.

Show is a must to see, it's high energy you
want to get up and dance the whole time.
The staff is the best in Branson make you feel
like family instead of a number on a ticket.
The performers are fantastic, from Dean Z (
Elvis ), The Blues Bros. (Justin & Bucky) as well as the
other performers they bring in through out the season.
Dancers, backup singer are great and the band
what can you say they fantastic.
I have been going to see Legends since they
performed in St. Louis at Six Flags about 15 years ago. I
see them in Branson several times a year.
The show itself should win the best show as
well as the performers, each one of thr should win the award
as best performer in their class.

I am voting for Dean Z for Best Male Singer.
Dean is a man of many talents, I have seen Dean many times
in the past year and yet he still amazes me with his ability
to wow the audience and hold them completely captive with
his strong and powerful voice as well as his moves which are
so much like the young Elvis of the 50'S. This summer Dean
had an amazing set of which he opened with "GI Blues"
then sang "Shopping Around" which also was from
the movie, then he changed his set completely to "Blue
Hawaii" of which included, "Rock A Hula", "Slicing
Sand" and the ever so popular love song "I Can't
Help Falling In Love With You" where he proceded to go
along the first row and give each lady a kiss on her cheek.
Dean ended his set with "Viva Las Vegas" which had
the audience clapping and the girls screaming. Dean remains
such a humble young man about his talent and I don't believe
that he see's sometimes what otheres see. I completely believe
in this young man and believe that he sh ould be awarded "Best
Male Singer".

We went to see Legends as we do every summer.
(My Granddaughter has to see the Blues Brothers and most of
all Dean Z!!! We have been bringing her to Branson for the
past 10 years. We all most lost her in a pool there when she
was 6 but we got her back and when the Dr. let her out of
the hospital she had to go see the Blues brothers. We will
keep coming to see Legends as long as the grandchildren want
to come. We have more kids that are coming along now so I
see us there for a lot more years.
If any one wants to get their money's worth
they have to see LEGENDS!!!!!!!!!!

Well to start off The Blues Brothers were really
good and comical, now Marylin Monroe starting off she wasn't
that good till she got that poor guy on stage bless his heart
he didn't know whether to melt or run. Then Elvis came took
our hearts brought memories of that young energetic thing
those hips, eyes and kisses oh my gosh it would have knocked
you outif you had been there I thought I was in heaven when
he called me up and sang gave me a lay and then planted those
soft tender lips on my cheeck. And then came down on the first
row shaking the guys hands and kissing the girls on the cheeks
he came to me and just kept kissing I told him don't stop
baby just keep on going. Then Gretchen Wilson came out stole
the hearts of the men to getting on the 4 wheeler doing her
moves ist was great the whole show. But afterwards going to
club 57 and listening to Deanz he was fabulas he really put
on a show and it was just like you were seeing the real young
Elvis the moves and the energy that little fellow had he was
terriffic. I will be back to see him.My husband and I will
be back before the end of the year is up and then next year
we have a cousins gather I'm gonna be sure that they go see
it. YOU CAN'T LEAVE BRANSON WITHOUT SEEING THIS SHOW I'M TELLING
YOU THAT YOU WILL LOVE IT. I rated it a 5 star show!!!!!!

I just have to tell you all about a wonderful
show and a wonderful cast of performers. Legends in Concert
is the only show I recommend to others to see in Branson.
Why you ask? It is the wonderful cast that portray some of
the biggest talents in the World. This seasons line-up includes
The Blues Brothers -- they will have you laughing for their
whole set. Justin and Bucky are the Ultimate Blues Brothers.
Then there was Marilyn portrayed by Stacy, it is uncanny what
a great job she does. All men will be drooling in their seats.
The Temptations are oh so good and it amazes me that Five
mean can sing and dance and never miss a beat. The next performer
up is Gretchen Wilson aka Stacy and does she blow on to the
stage. It is quite a transformation from Marilyn to Gretchen
but Stacy pulls it off. The final performer is my favorite
because he portrays Elvis and Elvis is the ultimate in my
books. You have to see Dean Z as he is portraying Elvis. This
set is all about the
movies, you need to come along and Slice some Sand. Dean does
a GI proud, he is all a flutter in his hawaiin print shirt
and lei while playing in the sand. His third costume change
brings you to Viva Las Vegas, it is a fun ride for all. So
get up get out and be sure to go see Legends in Concert and
Dean Z.

Legends in Concert is a must see show. The show
is very high energy. You can't just sit there without moving
your feet, clapping your hands, you want to get up and dance
during the entire show. The music is great with something
for everyone from young to older, from country to rock. The
seating is very comfortable with leg room.
If you loved Elvis you will love Dean Z as the
younger Elvis. His voice and his moves are like you are watching
an Elvis concert, he is amazing and he is a super person to
talk with, he takes the time to visit with each one of the
fans that came to see the show. You will not be dissappointed
with Dean Z.
The Blues Brothers another part of the show
you will love, the energy these two boys have is remarkable.
If anyone has ever seen the Blues Brothers will know that
Justin & Bucky have you reliving their show all over again.
The ones from the era really understand what I mean and the
younger ones are learning who these boys were.
The other acts that legends bring in to perform
for the show is also fantastic, from Marilyn Monroe, Garth
Brooks, Dean Martin, too many many more, again you will not
be disappointed seeing this show, you get your monies worth
plus much more.
Best show should go to Legends in concert.
Best Male performer : Dean Z (Elvis)
Best Female performer : Stacey Whitton (Marilyn
Monroe)
Best Band: legends in concert band
Best group: Justin Clark & Bucky Heard (The
Blues Bros.)

I'm casting my vote for Dean Z. I first saw
Dean perform in Memphis,TN during Elvis week under the big
tent. He was dynamic. I don't think I had ever seen anyone
with so much energy. He took time to talk to everyone who
approached him, never rushing. Of course, finding out that
he performed at the Legends in Concert meant that Branson
was the next trip on the agenda. I have seen Dean perform
several times now and he always gives 100% plus. He has done
his homework in studying Elvis.
He has the moves, voice, and looks-complete
package. He shows a true appreciation for his fans. He's very
personable and makes you feel like a good friend. Dean is
very acessible to his fans. I'm always ready to see him perform.
He is the best!

My vote goes to Dean Z at the Legends. His performance
and music is superb. He truly is a gifted and talented entertainer.
Watching and listening to him takes you back to a era that
is true to my heart. You know Dean has done his homework with
his tribute to the King of Rock and Roll with his music, moves,
and the details of the costumes he wears. He truly enjoys
performing on stage. He does the King "proud". He
is very personable and generous of his time after he performs
and meets and greets the fans in the lobby. Last but not least
he is a cutie!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, thank you very much!!!!!!!!!

Best male performer goes to........ Dean Z (
young Elvis)!!! Absouletly amazing. Let's just say he was
so good that my fiancée felt he needed to start acting
like Dean Z (not Elvis) to get my attention. Haha!! Not only
is Dean an awesome performer but he is a true to his Elvis
fans! He kisses the ladies and ruffles the mens feathers that's
a true Elvis. If I lived closer I would be at his show as
much as possible, he truly has the voice, the moves (oh lord
the moves- it's gettin hot in here), the great attitude, an
a wonderful personality! By far the best performer, am lookin
forward to seeing him again.

Bucky Heard- Incredible Voice
February 7, 2006
My wife and I went to see Legends in Concert
about 5 years ago in Branson. It is a great show, and one
of their best acts is the Blues Brothers.
Bucky Heard’s portrayal of Jake is
outstanding. Wow- what a voice. Once last year when we went
to see Bucky perform at Legends, one of the performers became
ill, so they filled in the space with Bucky portraying John
Cougar. He dressed and acted just like John Cougar. He did
a great job of his voice as well. We heard that he also filled
in at the Grand Palace when their performer became ill. He
did a tribute to Neil Diamond when Cracklin Rose was there.
This guy can sing anything.
I have had the opportunity to talk with Bucky
on several occasions ,and found that he is truly a very nice
person. He is genuine and not a phony, as some performers
can often be.
My wife and I go to Branson about once a month to see Bucky
perform, whether it is at Legends, Tsuami’s or at Wildflower.
He has a remarkable talent, and we always look forward to
seeing him. We have heard Bucky sing everything from hard
rock to soft ballads, and he does them all exceptionally well.
If you never had the pleasure of seeing Bucky
Heard at Legends, I suggest you stop by Tsunami’s some
Friday Night or Wildflower on Saturday night after 11pm. He
performs there after his last show at Legends. I promise you
wont be disappointed. You will be see an Entertainer that
truly loves his work.
We think Bucky should receive the Branson
Critic award this year for Best Singer and Best Performer
2006, as he is one of the most dynamic entertainers in Branson.
We are looking forward to our next trip.
