Smoke on the Mountain
Little Opry at the Imax

Smoke on the Mountain was a wonderful surprise.

The comedy timing was perfect and the performers very energetically believable in their roles. Having been raised in a small Southern church, the characters were "old friends and family" to my husband. The comedy had everyone laughing almost to the point of tears at times.

The gospel music was terrific-many old standards that most churches don't sing anymore. After seeing this show, I will never be able to sing about "the blood of the lamb" without a smile because of the actress who "signed" all of the songs.

I won't explain more-you have to see it for yourself. I know we will return for this show or any other show that this fine group of singers and thespians perform.

I recommend Smoke on the Mountain as Best Show (Family) in Branson.
Smoke on the Mountain is one of the funniest and most reasonably priced shows in Branson!

The show is a family-friendly musical comedy (but poignant, too), set in 1938, about the Sanders family's return to stage performance at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church's Saturday night Gospel sing, with more instruments than I could count and voices straight from the angels! All of the performers are excellent. Each character has a different story to tell and each one includes something the audience can personally relate to their own life or the life of someone they know.

We will see this show whenever possible.

Go see it!

You'll love it, too!

I recommend Liarra Michelle as Branson's Best Singer/Performer (Female).

The show in which she is currently performing is Smoke on the Mountain, one of the funniest and most reasonably priced shows in Branson! The show is a family-friendly musical comedy (but poignant, too), set in 1938, about the Sanders family's return to stage performance at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church's Saturday night Gospel sing. Of course, all of the performers are excellent, but my favorite is Liarra Michelle, who plays the daughter who does sign language (you'll laugh until your sides hurt!) along with singing and playing the majority of the instruments (some you just have to see to believe!). We have seen Liarra Michelle in other shows in and around Branson and she never fails to give the audience a wonderful and lasting memory. She has the voice of an angel! Her facial expression draws you into the very heart of her character. And those eyes, oh my!

We will always make it a point to go see her performances whenever we are in Branson.

Go see her!

You'll be glad you did!
