Branson is filled with wonderful shows. All have
been great, but our family recently saw a show that
required us to “spread the word”. The show: The
Dutton’s on the Branson Strip. One word:
Incredible. We randomly picked this show, since we
were near the theater and it was near show time…8
pm. Seems all shows in Branson start at 8pm. To
begin with, the Dutton family was light-hearted,
talented, funny, and overall was the best show I had
seen in years. From classical music, to country, to
musical skits, to some rock-n-roll, this family was
incredible! Mom and Dad had each of their children
learn music at a young age to “keep them out of
trouble”. As a result, the kids formed a band and
added mom and dad. Fast forward to today, and the
family runs a tight ship in their Dutton Theater. I
could go on, but my advice is to see the show. It
is filled with music, laughter, and most of all,
family values. You will be surprised at the talent
these folks have. They ended the show with their 16
grandkids….a wonderful family time that I would say
would have a hard time to beat.
The Thurman’s Mike, Lorie, Emily. Tiffany P That is a highlight of the show. Also, what was pleasing was they
included a section where they each sing songs they have written.
Many aspects of the show are the same, but they have included new
things. I would recommend this show to anyone. I have been coming
for about 10 years to see this and I wouldn't change it for
anything. Want a fun family outing? Then go see THE DUTTONS :) Mary L. L Debbie J This is one AWESOME show and family!!! I've already got reservations twice in November! This is one talented family. Every night after the show they go over to the Deli and help run it too. They do everything. I can't wait to take my little 17 month grand daughter to see the show. I know she will love the animals (not real ones, ha) that they have in the show. Mrs.Dutton is the sweetest talking person that I've ever met. I could listen to her talk all day. For them to adopt all the kids is so sweet of them to give those kids such a nice and loving home. I highly recommend this show!!!! Iva W We went with friends on Sept.10th and
I think everyone had a great time. This was our 3rd time this
season, but the Duttons take time to change the show through out the
season, just enough to keep everyone listening and watching closely
for the changes. This time they had some funny opening videos of
reasons to vacation in Branson. It had the audience laughing and
ready for the show to begin. I have learned when describing the
Dutton show to someone that hasn't been to it before, as L. K.
We recently went to Branson
(again). A couple years ago we had gone to the Dutton's
just based on someone saying it was a good family show. After
going that first time, we definitely knew this was one show we
wanted to go back to again. No disappointment for sure.
They are excellent. Everyone of them! From the smallest
to Mom and Dad.

A. B. As a child would look into a
long, skinny tube and twist the end in search for variety of color,
my husband and I pulled into Branson, MO looking for a special,
weekend getaway for our anniversary. We
Twisting the end of our
kaleidoscope, we pulled into our motel to get checked in. At
our hotel, we were able to get all of our show tickets arranged and
our weekend activities planned. Since we had gone during the Our first show scheduled was for
The Dutton’s because we were very anxious to meet them once again.
We had gone to their theater early so we could walk and do some
sight seeing and to get a good parking spot. We had plenty to choose
from when we arrived. We walked down the strip, took a few
pictures and still had some time so we went into their Café.
It was wonderful to go into such a homey place and get such friendly
service with a smile. I purchased some blackberry cobbler to
take back to the car so I could take it back to the hotel for after
the show. Excitedly, we went back over to the theater.
Walking into the lobby, the aroma
was fresh-popped popcorn; the sight was many other excited show
visitors, and busy employees (many of them family members). An usher
was there eager to show us to our Sitting comfortably in our seats,
taking yet another twist on the kaleidoscope, the lights dimmed as
the show proceeded to begin. At each side of the stage were
big screens with images of the Dutton family. Applause broke
out and music began to fill the room. From the beginning song
to the final song there was enthusiasm throughout the theater.
The family pulls you into their program, and lets you feel like one
of their own. They let you know that is okay to have fun with them.
It is easy to stay focused on
every set, costume, and every song, and standing out above it all is
the G. F. We went to the Duttons for the 2nd time this
May. I enjoyed this year's show even more then last years. This show
is good for all ages, even our great-grandson only 8 months old came
to life when they began the show. He laughed and tried to sing
along. Each member of the family seem to enjoy every moment they are
on the stage. We like the way the babies are brought out and
introduced to the audience. It has all types of music and we enjoyed
every song. This family is quite a talented bunch, including the
daughter-in-law which we enjoyed her added songs this year. We
enjoyed seeing the pictures of the brides. I am sure we will see
this show again! The children in this family started young. Classical violin lessons
began at the age of three, then on to guitars, banjos, mandolins,
drums, and many other instruments. You name it, and the Duttons can
play it! But all the fun didn't stop there. The children decided it
was time to get their equally talented parents involved. With Mom on
the bass and Dad on guitar, they were ready to rock! They now have their own theater located on the strip in Branson. The
Dutton family complex consists of: The Dutton Family Theater, The
Dutton Inn, and the newest addition, The Dutton Deli. The theater is
also handicap accessible; so don't let that hinder you from making
the trip. This is a show you DO NOT want to miss. From their smooth harmony,
to the exciting instrumental arrangements, this show is one that is
sure to please anyone, no matter what their age. So go on by and
stop in, and see what the Duttons are cooking up in 2004.
The family blend of 3 generations shows in all their
music. We see this show each year and the crowds are getting bigger
each time. The Duttons are riding a wave, and everyone should join
in for the two hour ride. They "plug" their merchandise too much, in my opinion. Tapes and
DVD's are one thing, but plastic cheap light sabres? C'mon folks,
leave the shameless commerce to the lesser shows. You have too much
class to sell junk. This is but a tiny part of an otherwise
first-rate show. The Duttons just keep getting better and better. Amy Dutton was just named the Best Fiddler/Violinist in Branson at
the OZ Awards. Jessica Dutton was nominated in the Best Female
Youth Performer Category and Jonathan Dutton was nominated in the
Best Banjo category. All The Duttons play many instruments with
amazing skill...the harmony of their voices are beautiful. Their
fast-paced show is filled with great music in many different genres,
beautiful costumes, and gentle humor. R. B. C. F. W. The Duttons kept some of my favorite songs from past shows, but have
some
great new numbers this year! I love the way they introduce the
babies of the family. You never feel that one member of the show is
trying to out do the other, just that they support each other
completely and respect each other's talents. We enjoyed our first visit of 2004 so much that we are now taking a
large group with us for our next visit. It is the one show in
Branson, that I can feel free to take anyone and know that they will
be entertained, and not offended in any way. We enjoy stopping in their deli before the show for some blackberry
cobbler, and always take some Dutton fudge home with us to remember
our great visit. I realize the contest rules say there are negative aspects in all
shows, and after thinking about it, they are right. The negative
is: Sometimes I have to wait a month before I get to see the show
again. That is why we make sure we purchase a tape of each season's
show, we bring it home and watch it with our 6-year-old
granddaughter. She loves the show as much as we do. She never
tires of going any more then we do. Whether you see the Duttons
once, or as often as possible, you will be entertained and come away
with a smile on your face. Tamar S. Connie F

Ralph and Evelyn S.
Heather B You can not walk out of there without a
smile on your face. People of all ages will enjoy a wide range of music
that the Duttons perform including "Johnny B. Good" and "Sand Man".
Their musical talent will blow you away. Everyone of the siblings
can play all of the instruments on the stage. Bob L Susan L But the best part about seeing The
Duttons is that you can relax and have a really good time because
there is nothing fake about The Duttons. So you J. M. A. D. B. L. The Duttons Show I would like to see again. I am thinking about seeing their Christmas Show this year. And I will probably see their regular show next year. As I said, I was part of a group and The Duttons, individually, really made my group feel welcomed. The reason we come to Branson is to have a good time. The atmosphere of the Dutton Theater put us in a good mood the minute we entered. We talked about it on the bus ride home and everyone was in a relaxed frame of mind because we had all had a really good time. We all like the musical choices in the show and we were impressed with how well The Duttons sing and play. That’s some talented family. It looked like all generations of The Duttons get a kick out of performing. They were having fun and the audience was responding in kind by having fun. It’s a good-sized theater with bigger, comfortable seating. A couple members of our group are wheelchair-bound and they were able to enter and exit The Duttons Theater and to also use the restroom with ease. Speaking of leaving, The Duttons are there as you leave to speak to you and to ask you to “come back again”. They are friendly and act comfortable with their fans. I spoke with Tim and Judith Dutton and I thanked them for giving us an afternoon of great entertainment. It reminded me of the way most families used to be, close and caring and full of fun. But I guess The Duttons are a lot more talented than most families. That’s why I’ll be seeing them again.
