Charisma, the stage presence, and the voice - Tony Roi
Tony
Roi’s Elvis Experience. Wow. Let me just say, if you’re an Elvis
fan, it is imperative that you do not miss this show! My sister and
I are, I guess you could say, “die-hard” Elvis fans. We own way too
many Elvis DVDs of performances and movies, and watch them way too
often. It’s definitely a good thing it’s not a crime to OD on Elvis!
(No pun intended, of course.)
So with that said,
when we watched Tony Roi take that stage, we were speechless.
Literally. My sister said she forgot to breathe. I’m hoping she was
exaggerating, as I’m not sure how Tony’s fans would like an
interruption during the show, with paramedics and everything. The
show is way too short as it is! I mean, two hours of Tony Roi? It
feels like five minutes! We need more, people!
But anyway, when Tony came out on that stage in his handsome white
jumpsuit, we were just blown away. I know you’ve heard it before,
but seriously. This man has what Elvis had. The charisma, the stage
presence, the voice, and the looks. What a wonderful tribute to
Elvis.
When the women sitting in the front row, hysterical with delight,
requested that he sing “Fever,” he politely complied and thrilled
the entire audience as well. It was actually pretty fun to watch the
ladies carry on like they were at a real Elvis concert! It had that
same excitement that I’m sure Elvis’s concerts had. When the women
would come down with a scarf, he would have a kiss waiting for them.
When the hollering and whooping got so loud, he actually got
tickled, having to pause for a minute and laugh. His show has such a
homey feel to it. It was so neat to watch him have fun up there.
His show appeals to everyone – of all ages and walks of life.
Literally. I think I’m proof of that. I’m a 17 year old girl, and
I’m head-over-heels for Tony, as is my sister, who is 23! His show
isn’t just for the older folks, it’s for us teenagers too! I
wouldn’t think twice about bringing my friends to the show. In fact,
the next time I go to Branson, I’ll have several of my friends in
tow. I’ll probably have to drag them to Music City Centre, but when
they’ve gotten a dose of Tony Roi, they won’t want to leave!
This man’s talent is absolutely astounding. My dad actually
commented that he sang better than Elvis! I’ve heard several people
say that since then. Tony is so kind, as well. When my sister went
to get something signed from him, he called her “Gorgeous” and made
her day! (Or week!) Of course, telling her that he probably says
that to a lot of his beautiful fans did nothing to bring her down
from Cloud 9!
Well, I tried to capture some Tony Roi for you in this review, but
trust me, I haven’t done the show justice. You just have to
“Experience” it for yourself! If you can appreciate Elvis’s music,
you’re going to love this show – I guarantee it!
