Darren Romeo the Voice of Magic

Darren Romeo the Voice of Magic. The show is so awesome. I have been to many of the shows. It all started with Summer Nights at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida the summer of 2003.I was hot and raining but Darren always had time for the guests.

When I heard that he was coming back for New Years Eve I got a room in Tampa so I would not miss a thing. I got to the park and it was so crowded already I thought that there would be no way I would get in the even one show let alone all 3 shows that night. I did! Darren came out after the 3rd show and had me up on stage with him and Kristy asked if I could e-mail them a picture of that night. I sure did.

Then they let me know when they would be in Branson so I booked a flight and made reservations at the Welk Resort. I arrived the day before his 1st show and the next morning I went to the resturant to have my breakfast. The Welk is such a beautiful place. The staff are so very friendly, it's like a home away from home. I was in the lobby of the theater and I saw Darren's mom and spoke to her. She was so surprised that I had remembered her from Busch Gardens. I went back to eat my breakfast but then thought 'I have to call my friend back in Florida' so I went back to the lobby and there was Darren walking around with his mom. They were discussing the layout for the meet and greet.

When Darren saw me he came over and gave me a hug. He said he was so surprised to see me. He introduced me to his mom. Now that is quite an entertainer that he remembered me from New Years Eve. He must meet lots of people, but he takes time with everyone.

Then came the show that night! WOW I had only seen the 1/2 hour shows at Busch gardens and this was two hours. What a treat. I was in the front row but then I saw some ladies who had a white rose (the fans were asked to wear this so we would know each other) and during the intermission I went to meet the ladies. They are from near Tampa and we have stayed friends since. They were not in the front row that night but said the seats were great. The next night some more of the fans showed up and Darren was quite pleased and he recognized all of us from the stage.

Since that time I have come every year to Branson to see Darren's show. A lot of the staff remember me and welcome me. This year I was there for the whole last week of March along with the ladies from Tampa. What a week. The new Jeff Gordon illusion was more than I expected. Then Kristy sang and what a treat. I did not think that his show could get better but it did. Darren sings while doing the unbelievable things he does. He sings some songs that he has written and then some Broadway songs.

His voice is so beautiful and then this year Kristy also sang. WOW There is humor along with everything else. Something new every time.

I have also seen his show when he went to the Beau Riviage in Biloxi. It was Thanksgiving week of 2004 and we had quit a week. His fan club president Katherine is a very nice lady and keeps everything going.
