Tony Roi's Elvis Experience of a Lifetime

It's taking me a few days and a few visits to contemplate how to write my review of Tony Roi's Elvis Experience. I have seen Tony perform at Legend's, Branson Mall and now at Music City Center.

I hadn't seen Tony for a couple years due to work and other circumstances so I attended my first show at Music City Center on August 26, 2006. He has truly come into his own and blossomed into a major performer here in Branson. I loved him at the other theaters but in the interim from Branson Mall until now I had no idea what to expect. When the doors open to Tony's house I couldn't help but smell his cologne in the air.

As you walk the aisle you enter into the "parlor" and as the curtain rises you are in Tony's "livingroom". The TR Powerhouse Band begins to play and you are watching musicianship. They are professional and never skip a beat. Kelly Black gives new meaning to "Girl Power". What an outstanding bass player. I personally had a chance to meet her and she is so gracious and lovely. His "angel singers" are so beautiful and talented. Their voices are "angelic" to hear.

Tony makes his appearance in the jumpsuit and tells everyone to "let it out" and "let it out" we did. His appearance is so striking as Elvis but yet there is the real Tony Roi there too. He does his usual Elvis songs but intertwines some of his own material which is so well done and fun. His performance draws you so far in, one time some of us gave him a standing ovation and I forgot to sit down for a minute. Just couldn't help it.

The second half he is out of the jumpsuits and it's more of who the real Tony Roi is. He has the black leather pants and gorgeous shirts. His energy level never ever goes down. He gives it 1000%. His vocals are so strong and beautiful.

It is so obvious how much he loves and appreciates his fans. He is so gracious and generous with the kisses, hugs and his precious time. In the past he has, time and again, given me an encouraging word, a hug and yes more than my share of kisses and scarves. I have so much profound respect for Tony Roi. He has my 1000% love, support, prayers and as I said profound respect, as well as his lovely wife Melanie. I only wish I could be there all the time but life kind of gets in the way, so I'll settle on when I can, as often as I can.
