Who is Tony Roi?

Many reviews have described Tony, the performer, but none have described Tony, the Man-- Tony by his own statement in his show, is the son of Cuban parents who fled the Communist regime. They raised their family in freedom, having had the opportunity to come to the United States.

Tony does not let a day pass without honoring this country and the men and women who have served it to protect our freedom. The most touching tribute he does is when he sings "Trilogy". It always brings the crowd to their feet. His love of freedom and understanding of what it means to have this privilege is always apparent.

Tony never fails to take extra time for every attendee. He is most caring for anyone with a disability. This past week we have noticed his special attention to those in wheelchairs, having come off the stage to personally greet them. He gave his scarf to a blind woman, who is now a Tony fan for life.

After the show we spoke with a former entertainment writer, disc jockey- who was amazed at his performance. He stated to us that he has been to many shows by tribute artists, but Tony's has to be number one. He said that not only was Tony fantastic in his performance of Elvis songs, but his originals were unbelievable.

Most artists can perform the standards, but when you add unheard of songs, the show usually takes a dip-Remember Ricky Nelson and "Garden Party"? But when Tony performs his songs like "Don't Walk Away" the crowd always wants more-- the excitement never ends.

The dynamics of Tony Roi the man are apparent by everyone. His love of life, family, friends, country and fans is shown daily. He never takes for granted his fans, therefore striving to make each performance his personal best. As an artist he is untouched- As a Man his honor always shows thru. Could this be why so many become his fan for life? I think so.

If you haven't seen him, you are missing one special artist who is not afraid to say "May God Bless the United States of America".
