Sold on Tony Roi

I am a long time Elvis fan; I have seen all of his movies and have several of his CD’s and honestly, some impersonators ruin Elvis’ memory for me. So when my sister suggested that we go to Branson to see Tony Roi, I didn’t have high expectations. I had seen some really bad Elvis impersonators and just didn’t want to spend the money or waste the time on another poor imitation.

We went to our seats and waited patiently for the show to start. As the time for the show grew nearer, I noticed that the arena was really filling up. I thought to myself well either this guy is really good or most of these people are willing to accept a mediocre attempt at an Elvis impersonator.

Boy was I wrong! When Tony first walked out on the stage and started singing I couldn’t believe how much he sounded and looked like Elvis. He was only into the first song and I was so mesmerized by him that I realized I had slid down in my seat and my mouth was hanging open. My sister looked over at me and said, “Are you o.k?” I told her that I was completely in shock and that I needed to pinch myself to remind me that it really wasn’t “The King”!

After the first set, Tony invited everyone to go up front to have a picture made with him. Before I knew it, I was out of my seat standing in line with the rest of the women and young girls. (Totally out of character for me). The show lasted longer than two hours but I was so disappointed when it was over. I wanted more Tony Roi!

Tony came out after the show and talked with his fans and allowed us to take photos with our personal cameras. He truly loves his fans and Tony is a genuinely nice person.

I don’t think there is anyone else out there that can bring Elvis to the stage like Tony Roi. I will go back again and again—I am sold!
