I Want To Work In
Branson, MO
Display your talents for all to see and you may
get work in Branson
Branson Critic receives requests
from readers on a weekly basis requesting help to find employment
in the shows. So we decided to create an avenue in
which an up-and-coming entertainer could display a summary
of their talent, along with a few photos to be noticed by the
show management of the Branson area. Your creativity
in pictures along with your written summary might gain
you the desired attention for auditions.
However, simply
saying I want a job as a guitar player will get you nowhere.
When making your summary, keep these points in mind: what
makes you a great guitar player, violinist,
comedian, singer, sound and light director, dancer,
show manager, magician, etc. Your pictures should also display
your personality at its' best (not a still glamour picture).
Use your Imagination...
Branson Critic takes no responsibility for who posts or who
replies to your email. Remember to have fun...
Important:
If you are under 18 you must have your Mother or Father send the
email with their permission for you to be on our site.
Parents must be involved with minors placing information on this
site.
Anyone
under 18 should not respond to emails (from so-called
talent/managers) without parental supervision.
We have moved this to

So please go there with your new info.

My
name is Jennifer Vaughn, I am 17 years old and I live in Hot
Springs, AR. I have been taking dance since I was 2 years old. I
started developing a deep passion for dance in my early teens and I
have always dreamed of becoming a professional dancer.
This past year has been full of opportunities and surprises! I have
learned so much, but I know that I wont be satisfied until I reach
my goal and until I am living my dream!
Although I have tried my best, it is very hard to become something
great when I live in a city where there are not a lot of
opportunities for dancers. Therefore I have to travel a lot to take
intense and challenging classes, and compete to keep myself
motivated. It becomes very expensive. its hard for me to find
exactly where I need to go to make my dreams come true.
that's where you come in.
I need as much advise as you can give me to help me get started. I
love to perform and I am strongest in ballet but I am willing to
give 100% in learning what I need to know. I would love to dance
somewhere in Branson, MO.
sincerely,
Jennifer Vaughn

My
name is Catherine Holder. I am 21 years old, and I will graduate
from Stamford University in Birmingham, AL in the spring of 2006
with a degree in Musical Theatre. I am a fun dancer to watch with
training in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, and musical theatre dance. I
also sing various types of music from (obviously) musical theatre to

Springfield, and my energy and persona onstage has been compared to
Tina Turner. (Quite a combination... I know!) I would love to work
in Branson, because it's a fun place to be with people from all
different walks of life coming through. Thanks for your time!! P.S.
I'm actually a blonde, if the pictures confuse you.

Hello,
my name is Lexi Love and I dream of singing in Branson, Mo.
As a means of introduction, let me tell you about myself. I was born
on Oct. 11, 1984 in Merced, California. I was 10 years old when we
moved to Missouri and I fell in love with the hills and the music.
It was after listening to Hank Williams and Patsy Cline on my
grandfather's old eight tracks that I began my own singing career. I
have no formal vocal training and I can not read music.
At the age of 12, I entered and won my
first singing contest. In 1998 my first Cd , "I Love You Honey", was
released, followed by "All I Want Is Jesus" two years later. While
completing my education, I performed on weekends at the Melody
Theatre in Leachville, AR.; the Ozark Opry in Mammoth Springs, AR.;
the Forum in Jonesboro, AR.; and the Texas Opry in Houston, TX.
I have opened for the southern gospel group "Gold City" of Alabama;
country music performer, Stan Perkins (son of Carl), Narvel Felts,
Billy Yates, and the group "Iron Mountain". I performed before my
largest audience while opening for Steve Warner at the Ozark Empire
State Fair in Springfield, Mo., in 2000.
While waiting for my BIG BREAK, I work
as a Certified Nursing Assistant. If the BB doesn't come, I have
plans to continue my nursing education. Singing will always be my
first passion.
In 2004, my latest Cd, "Lexi Love", was released. I am very proud of
this Cd as I wrote four of the songs included on this one. Altho I
play the guitar and the keyboard, I feel more comfortable not
accompanying myself. I may be petite but I have a big strong voice
that will knock your socks off. I live close enough to Branson that
I could audition in person on a day's notice, or I will be happy to
send you a promotional package. You may contact me by email at
lexinelove@yahoo.com.

Hello
Branson!
As you plan for your upcoming events, concerts, and shows I would
like to recommend that you consider Brandie Frampton and her band to
perform at Branson.
I represent thirteen year old Brandie, who is a phenomenon here in
the West and who would be would be an excellent fit to perform at
one of the many events that you organize related to the great venues
of Branson.
Over the past few years Brandie and her band have been both
headlining and opening for major acts. These combined efforts have
resulted in her latest recording being produced by Disney Producer
Andrew lane. The band is preparing to release these new songs next
month and Day By Day will be released to 1500 radio stations on
February 20th. They have just returned from a tour in Florida that
included Disney World and a performance for Virgin Records. Brandie
and her band will be opening for the Oak Ridge Boys in June.
Check out Brandie’s web site at www.brandieframpton.com which has
some great bio information about her and her band as well as some
snippets of her newest songs. Brandie’s publicity, press kits, and
song demos are also available electronically at http://www.brandieframpton.com/pro/
For promotional and booking information go to http://www.silvercreekservices.net.
We would likely be available for one of your upcoming events, but
our scheduling calendar changes daily so please contact us as soon

related to our press kit is online, but I would be happy to send you

A
noted personality as a form of entertainment. Performing as a
sound-a-like and look-a-like, Alphonse grew up exposed to one of the
greatest talents of the mid 20th century, (Smokey Robinson) which
encouraged
him to sing. It was only natural that Alphonse would go into the
music industry. At the age of 10, Alphonse began his active singing
career and subsequently founded a group called {"Four Stories
High"}. The group performed all over the Chicagoland area, singing
the sounds of Motown until they split up in
1984. While regularly performing at comedy clubs, charity benefits
and hotel parties, he has been the spotlight for promoters such as
Rock on Entertainment, and Black Musical Plays, {"When Music Was
Music"} and many more.
While on stage, Alphonse carries the legend as he enlightens the
audience with the silky sounds of Smokey Robinson. Being a part of
Alphonse's audience is equivalent to being invited to a Smokey
Robinson concert when you hear him sing! This marvelous gift he has
been given is now a gift to all. Alphonse may be available for your
next special event. Contact him! 708-289-5821.

Hi,
my name is John Homerski Jr., and I am a musical drummer,
percussionist, and vocalist. I am a graduate of the US Navy School
of Music and a 9 year veteran of the US Army Bands. In addition, I
have founded and performed in several regionally successful bands
across the country. If you go to
http://www.homersarmy.com and click on biographies, you
can get a feel for just some of my musical experiences. While you
are there, on the main page, be sure and click on “Listen to Our
Performances” (all the way to the bottom left) to listen to some of
our “live” performances. I have been performing practically every
genre of music that there is for over 35 years. If you need a team
player who can be an immediate asset to your show, I’m your man.
Now,
do you also need a multi-instrumentalist/vocalist? That would be my
brother, Tim Homerski. Tim plays Guitar, Keyboards, Flute, Banjo,
Violin, Accordion, Bagpipes, ocarina, … I could go on and on. And
Tim has one of the best voices around. When we start up our “blood”
harmonies, it is amazing! Be sure and check him out also at
homersarmy.com.
We are both ready and willing to help you make your show just that
much better. I am looking forward to your inquiry.

My
name is Tricia Walter. I live in Indiana. I have been coming
to Branson every year for the past 10 years or so. I love
everything about Branson and want to live there someday. I
am a singer. I sing soprano and I have taken voice lessons
for 7 years, and been involved with singing my whole life. I
have been in many choirs – from classical music (16+ years
of doing the “Messiah” at Christmas time) to gospel music –
solos, choirs, cantatas in my church.
My voice teacher was past
President of the Indiana Music Educators Association. I have
also worked with a great choir director that had accompanied
Elvis Presley in Las Vegas. I currently work in the Music
department of a state University and work with the local
theatres when I have free time (working with the shows,
selling tickets, etc.) My dream is to sing in one of the
shows in Branson, Missouri one day. You can contact me at

My name is Kelly Mefford. We
live in Heber Springs, Ark. I'm interested in finding
opportunities in Branson for my daughter Ally who is 12 yrs.
She's an amazingly talented singer/clogger. Ally has a
manager who is probably not like most managers. He's spent
lots of money on Ally (recording cd's and doing shows) but
has never asked for a dime in return from me or my husband.
He only does it because he loves music and really wants to
see Ally succeed. So at this point, we're just looking for
venues to get her out there more so than anything.
Here is Ally's website.
www.allymichelle.com
On it you can see lots of performance pictures & video clips
of her and hear clips from her album, Comin' up Country.
(she was only 11 when it was recorded, but sounds more like
20!) You will also find contact information and Ally's
fan-mail link. You may also contact me, her mom at
kellymefford@yahoo.com
You can also go to
www.cdbaby.com and type in Ally Michelle. There you'll be
able to hear 2 minutes of each song on the album. And you
can write a review and tell us what you think. Remember, she
was only 11 at the time it was recorded.
Thanks a bunch!

As I don’t know
where to submit this, hopefully you can help and forward this to
whomever. I’ve been a musician my whole life, but I’m not writing
about myself. I’m been to most shows in Branson, the Grand Ole’Opry,
Pigeon Forge, etc. and NEVER, EVER saw a piano player compared to
the lady I recently saw in a concert at Erickson, Manitoba with a
group called Country Blend. She could challenge any player in
Branson, Nashville, or wherever, and, I can assure you, that no one
could come close to her unique style and ability. She is quite a
show person as she plays with utmost perfection, hands flying across
the keyboard about 8 inches above, sitting cross-legged and smiling
at the audience all the time playing without looking at the
keyboard. She is a retired school teacher and presently plays piano
constantly and also teaches classical piano. She plays lead,
background, etc and was the center of attention at the show. I have
no connection with lady with the exception that I spoke to her
briefly after the show and got her business card. I asked her if she
would be interested to audition with any group in Branson or
wherever, and she said she’d like that but didn’t know how to make
contact. I’ve never ever referred anyone before, but this lady is a
real exception. There’s just no one that I’ve ever seen that can
compare to her talent. She most certainly belongs in Branson or
Nashville. Believe me, whatever group picks up this lady will have
one of the best piano players ever. Her name is Joan MacKay, Box 33,
Nesbitt, Manitoba, Canada – Thank you. Wally Yanchycki, Box 244
